A captivating point-and-click adventure game takes place in the center of the Tang Dynasty’s capital city and invites players to assume the role of Detective Di Renjie, one of ancient China’s most renowned detectives.

Players must use their cunning to sort through a confusing web of clues and negotiate the complex political environment of ancient China as they set out on a terrifying journey to find a famed serial murderer. Detective Di must use his supreme intelligence and razor-sharp instincts to follow every lead to catch the murderer and end the violence.

Plot

Within the political instability that engulfed China, a moment she has occurred when Wu Zetian, China’s first and only female empress, rose to power. Her rule, however, was marred by conflict and revolutionary impulses, with her opponents plotting her demise. This period serves as the backdrop for our tale. Di Renjie, a recently appointed investigating magistrate, is responsible for unraveling a series of heinous murders that has the city on edge.

When Di Renjie goes deeper into the inquiry, he conflicts with the Imperial Court and, eventually, the empress herself. Can he overcome his inner demons and conflicted allegiances to the past emperor? What is the connection between the murder victims and the trove of political secrets housed in the capital? It is up to the reader to figure out what is happening in this fascinating story.
